Canada evaluates your foreign education value on Canadian education parameters through some designated organizations and issues an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). This ECA is used to verify and validate your foreign education and its equivalency to Canadian education.

ECA is one of the mandatory documents for immigration (especially if you have not studied in Canada) and it is valid for 5 years from the date of issuance. Usually, one should submit their highest level of education for evaluation.
